History buffs will enjoy the Cape Shanck Lighthouse and Museum just south of Rosebud in the Mornington Peninsula
National Park, which offers a taste of nautical history and explores the early days of lighthouse technology. trails, with some even leading down the sea cliffs to the beach.These trails form part of the 27km Coastal Walk that stretches all the way to London Bridge near Portsea.
Back closer to town, between Rosebud and nearby Dromana, the peak of Arthurs Seat, at 300 metres above sea level, offers incredible views along the peninsula.
Another great way to explore the beauty of the Peninsula on a budget is to head
to Greens Bush in the National Park – a large expanse of native bush surrounded by farmland, home to 167 bird species and 32 different mammals, including swamp wallabies and grey kangaroos.
