The hike along the dramatic headland of the Ka Iwi State Scenic Shoreline offers sweeping views across the ocean and, if you’re lucky, you’ll be able to spot migrating humpback whales that pass this way in their thousands every mating season (November – May). It’s a two kilometre hike to the lookout situated above the Makapuu Lighthouse.
For one of the most breathtaking (and windy) views across Oahu, visitors should head to the Nuuanu Pali Lookout set above the forested cliffs of the Ko’olau Mountain Range. But remember
