Section 3: Membership Benefits

Points Protection

Protection protects the value of your RCI Points Vacation, so if you need to cancel or change your vacation for any reason, right up until the day of check-in, you will be refunded 100% of the Points used to make the booking.

How does it work?

With Points Protection you can cancel your reservation up until 5pm the day before check-in – you don’t even need to give a reason.

When should I purchase Points Protection?

Points Protection may be purchased right up until the check in date of your confirmed exchange vacation. If you are purchasing Points Protection less than 30 days after booking your exchange vacation you will pay a reduced fee. If you are purchasing Points protection more than 30 days after booking your exchange vacation, you will pay a higher fee.

How much does Points Protection cost?

The price of Points Protection is determined by the length of stay, and is charged at 1-6 Nights, 7 Nights or 8+ Nights.

How do I add Points Protection to my Points reservation?

You can add Points Protection by calling an RCI Guide or by logging into your account at RCI.com. Go to the ‘Your Vacation Plans’ area under the Home tab, then select the ‘Confirmed’ tab, to see your Exchange confirmation. On the right hand side of your exchange confirmation, click on the link to ‘Add Points Protection’. Just follow the steps in the payment section to complete the transaction.

Can I cancel Points Protection?

Points Protection may be cancelled for a refund by contacting the Call Centre before the close of the next business day after your Points Protection purchase. To cancel Points Protection, please contact an RCI guide on (65) 6223 4333. We regret that Points Protection cannot be cancelled on RCI.com.

*Please note that without Points Protection the standard cancellation policy will apply. Unless you cancel at least 90 days prior to check in, you will only be refunded a portion of your Points, depending on how close to the check-in date you cancel.
