Upgrade and changes request

NOTE: We are unable to offer access to unit upgrades to our Egyptian and Middle East members.


You can request an upgrade to your current Exchange Holiday booking by paying a fee. This service is free for RCI Platinum members. You can either make this request during the booking of your Exchange Holiday, or you can make this request up until 15 days before your holiday starts. To do this, click on ‘MY ACCOUNT’ in the navigation panel, then click on ‘Upcoming Holidays’ to go to the confirmed section of your holiday plans.

Upgrade and Changes Request

Your Upgrade and Change Request gives you three options:

• Request a larger unit at the resort you currently have confirmed;
• Request a different check-in day two days either side of your existing confirmation;
• Select a different resort in the same country or region (up to a maximum of Five resort choices), serviced by the same airport.

The system will start a search within 14-2 days prior to confirmed check-in and should a successful match be found will automatically confirm and cancel original booking.

If you are already booked into the largest possible unit type at your chosen resort, no more upgrades will be possible at this resort. However you can select up to five other resorts from a selection offered to you Please note, you will need to deselect your resort confirmation first by clicking on the right hand side box, before you are able to click ‘Save Request’ (as shown in the image below). Please note: This does NOT cancel your confirmation.

It will then notify you of the following message once you have done this.

If you are not booked into the highest possible unit at your confirmed resort, and should you want to request a larger unit, just click on the checkbox saying "I would like to recieve a larger unit at this resort".

This will give you the ability to select flexible date options if they are available. If they are not available you will be advised. Then tick the box to agree to the terms and conditions, and click the ‘Continue‘ button.

We will email confirmation to you but if you’d like this emailed to a different account than the one we hold on file, you can enter an alternative email address before saving your request.

If you want to a select a different resort in the same country or region (up to five resorts), click on the check box against each of the resorts on offer.

You will need to enter at least one check-in date for each of the resorts you select before proceeding to the payment section. RCI Platinum members receive this service free of charge and can just click on the ‘Continue’ button.

IMPORTANT

If you have booked consecutive Weeks, unfortunately, we are not usually able to offer upgrades for each consecutive week. Due to the nature of our Exchange Holiday network and existing bookings, we are unable to guarantee upgrades to the same unit/resort for more than one week.

If you upgrade, you may need to move accommodation units in between weeks. Please enter fixed dates for your upgrade search for the best results: Selecting flexible dates could limit your upgrade options.
