Family Fun in Vegas

Las Vegas has a lot to offer outside of the glitz and glam that comes with The Strip. Over the years this highly sought after vacation destination has evolved into a family vacation hot spot.

Lion Habitat Ranch is kid-friendly and a safe environment for families to observe exotic animals up close that are normally only found in the most exotic corners of the world. The animals that call this park home were once part of shows on the Vegas strip. Here you will find dozens of lions, a three-year-old giraffe, ostriches, emus, and other exotic birds. Visitors can even safely take a photo with a lion prowling in the background. The park is open weekly from Friday to Monday from 11 am to 2:30 pm. The best part is kids under four are always free and kids between the ages of five and 14 are free when accompanied by an adult. Due to Covid-19, Lion Habitat Ranch requires visitors to register and buy tickets online before they visit. Visit https://lionhabitatranch.org/ to start planning your mini safari.

Lion Habitat Ranch is located at 382 Bruner Ave Henderson, NV.

Cowabunga Bay is a 25-acre waterpark booming with several waterslides and other rides the whole family will enjoy. This colorful, clean, and well-maintained park is a short drive from Las Vegas and even features a “Kids Cove” where the water is very shallow and kept at a comfortable 80 degrees. There’s no need to pack a cooler because, at the park, you can enjoy hand-squeezed lemonade, funnel cakes, and Dole Whip — a frozen pineapple-flavored treat that was once only available at Disneyland. Due to Covid-19, the park is operating at 50% capacity — be sure to visit https://www.cowabungabayvegas.com/ to make sure the park will be able to accommodate your travel party.

Cowabunga Bay is located at 900 Galleria Drive, Henderson, NV.

A Grand Canyon day trip is well worth the drive and is a perfect way to make memories with the whole family. This natural wonder draws in 6.3 million visitors a year. Experiencing the canyon’s dramatic views, dusty trails, and history is something everyone should do at least once.

Pro Tip: We recommend making the drive from the resort of your choice in Vegas the day before your Grand Canyon adventure begins — stay at your preferred hotel and get an early start to your day. Don’t forget you can get deep discounts on hotels with RCI’s Best Price Guarantee.*
