The Canalboat Club at Anderton Marina features the now famous narrowboat. Designed locally, the boats have been built in the Northeast of England, where craftsmen blend traditional skills with contemporary methods and modern materials. Cruising a narrowboat or simply choosing to remain in the marina and use the boat as a base means a new experience for those used to land-based vacations. If you decide to remain moored within the marina, staff will link you into main's electricity. However, if you are cruising, the boat is wholly dependent upon you to generate and conserve the electrical power.

The comfortably designed and well-maintained canal boats come in two versions. The 4-berth canal boat (45 feet long) sleeps up to four and the 6 berth canal boat (55 feet long) sleeps up to six. The sleeping accommodation include a king size bed in a private room, a double bed in the lounge and in the 6-berth canal boat, an additional two single beds. Boats feature a fully fitted galley (kitchen) including a stove and oven, microwave, refrigerator with small ice compartment, cutlery and cooking utensils. With the Canalboat Club at Anderton Marina, guests can enjoy the beautiful canals of England and Wales, which wind their way through a variety of interesting locations offering you the chance to stop off and investigate further at a mooring of your choice or to simply continue cruising onto the next destination. Adjacent to the marina is the restored Victorian Anderson Boat Lift providing access for boats to the River Weaver. This marina has a wide variety of cruising routes, countryside, cities and places to visit. Once off your canal boat, you can visit the Blue Planet Aquarium, The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery or the Salt Museum.

Directions from Major Airport to Resort

By Air: all major airports, Manchester is the closest. From M6 (North & South): Leave M6 at junction with M56 and join M56 (West). Exit M56 at junction 10. At the roundabout take the A559 signposted Northwich. In approximately 4.5 miles turn right signposted Comberbach. Continue through Comberbach village and pass the Marbury Country Park. The next village is Anderton where you will find the Marina approximately 0.25 mile after the Anderton village sign on the left.
