Close to Alpine National Park and within a short drive of ski resorts Falls Creek, Mount Hotham, and Mount Buffalo, the town of Bright offers visitors both winter and summer outdoor activities. The area's gold rush origins are evident in its numerous historic sites from that period. Bright is also becoming known for its excellent wineries, produce, and restaurants. The natural beauty of the town's mountains, valleys, and rivers provides scenic opportunities for walking, bicycling, fishing, swimming, golf and the popular attraction Canyon Walk. In winter, cross-country and downhill skiing are popular.
Directions from Major Airport to Resort
The nearest international airport is in Melbourne 298 kms away. From Melbourne take the Hume Highway (Hwy 31) to the Great Alpine Road exit. (Near Wangaratta) Follow this to Bright and just before Bright,turn into Stackey Gully Road. Alternatively, fly from Melbourne to Albury, which is about a 1 1/2 hour drive to the resort.
