Hotel Hacienda El Portete, a very nice resort with a beautiful Colonial architecture, is located in the Town of Choroní, State of Aragua, is one of the oldest places in the central coast of Venezuela and is just a 5 minute drive from the Caribbean Coasts. This town was for many years one of the leading producers of cocoa in the world, now, you can still visit some plantations that have kept this tradition. In Puerto Colombia, only 5 minutes from the Resort, you will find a beautiful beach which offers all the comforts for a comfortable day at the beach, you can also take a boat to enjoy nearby beaches, such as Cepe or Chuao. At night, you can go to the boardwalk and enjoy the drums and dancing, daily activities preformed by its inhabitants.
Directions from Major Airport to Resort
Hacienda El Portete is located 50 miles from International Airport of Valencia and is less than two hours driving. From the airport follow the signs Autopista to Maracay. Exit at Distribuidor Palo Negro and follow the signs to Av. Casanova Godoy until Av. Las Delicias. Take right and go straight ahead. Drive through Henry Pittier National Park road. When you get to Choroni, go to road to exit town and take left at second little bridge. You will see a sign to Hacienda el Portete.
