Inverness at South Padre is a 11-story high-rise resort featuring an outdoor pool and a hot tub on the third level. Other on-site amenities include a beautiful beach and excellent fishing. Laundry facilities are also on site. Water sports and miles of beach make Inverness at South Padre a year-round destination. Only five miles away is a marina that provides boat rentals, ramps, and slips. The fishing is excellent year-round, with daily deep-sea charters. Golf, tennis, horseback riding, and shuffleboard are also popular. Nearby Water Slide Park is fun for the entire family.

Destination Highlights

South Padre Island, a barrier island on the Gulf of Mexico, has long been known for its moderate climate and wonderful game fishing. Golfers have discovered that the areas has some of southeastern Texas' best courses. And tennis plays find that the dry climate makes playing an all-year round possibility. In fact, beautiful beaches, warm waters, bird watching, shopping, and dining Texas-style have made South Padre one of the country's favorite family destinations.

Directions from Major Airport to Resort

The nearest commercial airport is Harlingen Airport, about 40 miles away. From this airport, take U.S. Highway 77 South to Highway 100. Head East on Highway 100 to Port Isabel. Cross the Queen Isabelle Causeway to South Padre Island. Turn left on Park Road 100/Padre Blvd. Turn right on Morningside Drive. Turn left on Gulf Blvd and follow to the resort. If flying into Harlingen and not renting a car, you may make advance reservations with Gray Line or Surft Tran for pick up service from the airport to the island.
