Its unique tramway runs inland, along the Axe Estuary, to the medieval market town of Colyton and is perfect for birdwatchers, transport enthusiasts or those who simply want to watch the beautiful riverside scenery glide by. Next to the tramway is the Seaton Marshes Nature Reserve. The installation of a viewing hide and wheelchair-friendly paths means this beautiful area and its wildlife - wildfowl and wading birds in winter; dragonflies and butterflies in summer - are now easily accessible all year round. Directions from Major Airport to Resort

If coming from Exeter on A3052, do not take the first sign to Seaton, which is by the garage at the top of the hill, but continue on and go down the hill. As you near the bottom of the hill the road bears left, turn right into Harepath Road. Follow the road for approx. 1/4 mile and then turn into Eyewell Green on your right, take left fork Eyewell Green as as you go up the hill The Mills House is no 29 on your left hand side. There is parking infront of garage or on the road outside. If coming on the A3052 from the Lyme Regis direction, go over the Tram Railway level crossing into Colyford. Go through the village and the road bears right going up a steep hill. Turn left here into Harepath Road and continue as above.
