Close to Embleton Village, once voted the most romantic bay in England, popular villages Beadnell with its water sports, Newton-by-the-Sea has a NT beach (which has a beach hut is available to hire by agreement of the owner) & micro brewery. Alnwick is 7mi with its majestic castle (used in the Harry Potter films), gardens, playhouse, inns & restaurants. Dunstanburgh Castle in Craster is a lovely walk along the cliff top, reached only by foot. Try fresh seafood on the way back in one of many fine & friendly pubs along the coast. Seahouses is known for its fine fish & chips. Holy Island is not to be missed but check the tides first or take a boat trip over to the Farne Islands to see the puffins or seals whilst in Seahouses. Embleton village has a friendly pub & restaurant, garage, post office, children’s park & magnificent sandy bay. There is membership of the local, private leisure facilities & guests are welcome to use the pool, gym & spa at cost.
