The popular Eden Project attraction can be reached by foot from The Linhay, which, in line with its eco credentials, means that guests get a discount on entry fees. Visit the seafaring town of Fowey with its historic links to Daphne du Maurier, its royal yacht club and regatta, and the narrow lanes crammed with cafes, restaurants, gift and craft shops. A ferry can be taken across the estuary to Polruan, where a dramatic circular coastal walk starts. Charlestown is a World Heritage Site, and home to tall sailing shops, a shipwreck museum and excellent pubs and cafes - Lostwithel, home to many antique shops, is also minutes away. Lanhydrock House and Gardens is a large National Trust estate, home to off-road cycle and walking trails; easily reached and popular with visitors. Golf, surfing, cycling and horse riding are all available close by, proving that The Linhay is the ideal base for exploring Cornwall and all it has to offer.
