Borth Station Museum features displays of local railway history in an attractive setting, including a restored 1950s ticket office. Borth Animalarium, a zoo in miniature and home to a mixture of exotic and unusual animals, is also well worth a visit. At the southern end of the beach, ancient remains of a submerged forest can sometimes be seen. Situated a short drive north of Borth, the Ynyslas National Nature Reserve is dominated by an ever-changing sand dune landscape, home to an array of rare plants, wildlife and wading birds. Across the estuary to Aberdyfi, Ynyslas is a great spot for walking or relaxing with waymarked boardwalks, trails through the dunes and a visitor centre. Nearby Aberystwyth, nestled between hills and beach, boasts a castle, harbour, pier, promenade and many Victorian buildings. The park offers entertainment so you can relax over a drink or meal, or enjoy music, dancing and themed evenings. Fishing and water sports nearby.

Directions from Major Airport to Resort

Travelling from Machynlleth you will approach Borth from the A487 and turn onto the B4353, passing through Borth until you come to a small roundabout, take the B4572 up the hill and Brynrodyn will be on your right, clearly signed. If travelling from the east or south Borth is about 6 miles north of Aberystwyth. Take the A487 and turn on to the B4572 to Borth and Brynrodyn is on the hill as you come down into Borth itself. During opening hours please go to the reception located on the first floor (The View Bar Restaurant) of the large building on the left as you turn into Brynrodyn. Car parking is available by the cottage. Rheidol is the middle cottage in the row of three. If arriving late or if reception is closed the cottage will be left open for you.
