Ideal for families who love the outdoors, there are some excellent walks in the area and a recreation park in the village. The canal in Chirk is part of the World Heritage site and is just five minutes’ walk away from the property and extends for approximately 11 miles. You can walk or cycle along the canal into Llangollen, via the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, or head in the other direction towards another of Thomas Telford’s famous aqueducts and viaduct at Chirk. Located within a conservation area, Chirk is a charming little town and offers a variety of takeaways, pubs, tea rooms, an award-winning Indian restaurant, small supermarket, bakers, butchers, greengrocers, pharmacy and a post office, as well as a couple of churches and a local library which offers free internet access. Other activities available locally include golf, cycling, horse riding and fishing. With so much to see and do, Apple Garth is perfect for exploring North Wales and beyond.
