A delightful 2nd floor holiday apartment, full of character & charm, situated in the village of Hinderwell between the coastal resorts of Staithes & Runswick Bay & an easy drive from the town of Whitby. Whitby is an excellent day out, with plenty to do with attractions to suit all ages, along with many shops & cafes in both the new & old towns. From Whitby, a ride on the steam train to view the dramatic scenery of the North York Moors en route through the quaint little villages of Grosmont, Goathland (Aidensfield in the TV series ’Heartbeat’) & Levisham to its final destination of Pickering. The beautiful Victorian resort of Saltburn is 8 miles away with its own cliff lift dating back to 1884 & famous pier which is the most northerly surviving British pier & Smugglers Heritage Centre not far from the lovely promenade is perfect for a leisurely stroll on a fine evening.

Directions from Major Airport to Resort

Hinderwell is situated on the A174 coast road between Staithes and Whitby. When entering Hinderwell from the north you will see the Runcible Spoon bistro located on the right hand side just after the sign to Port Mulgrave. You can collect the keys from the bistro between 3 and 4, and the apartment is located on the right hand side of the bistro with steps leading up to the front door. Parking for 1 car is located in the school car park.
