The property has been beautifully restored & furnished, situated within 15 acres of ancient woods & parkland in the glorious rolling countryside of the Eden Valley in Cumbria. The stunning & tranquil setting is very magical & is an ideal venue for groups of friends and families gathering together. The Hall has a civil license for weddings & it is a location simply made for New Year and Christmas gatherings. Self-catered or with outside catering, you can create a party that you and your friends and family will never forget. This beautifully presented holiday cottage has excellent facilities & comfort. Built in 1861, the main house fell into decline after the Second World War, but has now happily been restored to its former glory by the present owners, to provide a splendid estate. With very good access to both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, Morland Hall Estate makes for an excellent holiday destination. Just 8 miles away lies the attractive market town of Appleby, once the county town of Westmorland, and renowned for its famous Horse Fair held in June of each year since 1750. Passing through the town, the Settle to Carlisle railway offers visitors the chance to relax and enjoy wonderful scenery as it runs over the famous 24-arched Ribblehead Viaduct before descending two hundred feet in five miles. Slightly further to the north of Appleby, the traditional, bustling market town of Penrith, gateway to Ullswater, can be found. Leave the M6 Junction 39. Head north towards Shap on the A6 (3.90 miles). Turn right signed Morland/Newby heading east for 0.58 miles bear left on to Morland heading east for 0.58 miles. Keep straight on the roadheading north-east for2.85 miles. Go through Newby and **Keep straight on to High Streetin Morland, cross the bridge (past The Crown on the right hand side)heading north-east for0.17 miles, heading east for 0.16 miles, then turn right on towards Appleby, heading south-east for0.15 miles. Keep straight on to roadheading east on to road heading east for 0.51 miles. Morland Hall CA10 3BB is on the left. If you reach A66, you've gone too far
