Within walking distance of a pub serving delicious bar meals, it’s also close to the famous Ffestiniog Railway, imagine travelling on a narrow gauge steam train as the line twists and turns on its journey down to the sea at Porthmadog, whilst enjoying refreshments served at your seat. Blaenau Ffestiniog is fast becoming a mecca for adventure activities, ranging from the worlds largest zip wire zone at Zipworld Titan, and the exciting Bounce Below where you can bounce on trampoline nets in an underground slate cavern the size of St Paul’s Cathedral, to the Stiniog Downhill Mountain Bike trails (there’s even bike storage and washing facilities at the holiday cottage!). There are walks a plenty in the Snowdonia National Park which surrounds Blaenau, with the Cambrian coast and Harlech Castle to explore in one direction and the pretty village of Betws-y-Coed in the other.

Directions from Major Airport to Resort

From the centre of Blaenau Ffestiniog head south on the A470 towards Dolgellau. As you leave Blaenau Ffestiniog you will pass houses on each side of the road, then about a mile from the town centre you will pass a yellow hatched area of the road marking the entrance to a school on the right. Shortly after you will see a tall tree in the garden of a house on the right followed by a small church. Immediately after the church is a turning on the right marked 'Leading to Tyddyn Gwyn'. Turn down here and take the second road on the left and Moelwyn View is at 2 Tyddyn Gwyn Terrace - the second house on the right.
