Newlyn is steeped in Cornish tradition, famous for fishing and art, for which the light and scenery provide the perfect backdrop. The cottage is just a short distance from Newlyn Art Gallery and the seafront. The world famous Newlyn School of Art provides exceptional tuition offering short courses for beginners to the more advanced. The area is becoming a popular destination with foodies, notably Mackerel Sky and the much acclaimed Tolcarne pub, which has been transformed by top chef Ben Tuncliffe into a first class gastro pub. A great selection of pubs, eateries and shops are on the doorstep, providing local fresh fish from Newlyns fish market, traditional Cornish food and ales, cafes, tea rooms and a traditional fish and chip shop selling fresh fish just landed from the boat.
