Although the access to the apartment is somewhat steep and narrow, once inside the vaulted ceilings provide a great sense of space.

Set within the heart of the Peak District National Park, Bakewell and its waterside setting is a hugely popular base for tourists with its busy weekly market and multitude of independent shops and cafes providing plenty to do. Significant annual events include the ever popular Bakewell Show, arts festival, music festival and the magnificent historic buildings of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall can both be reached in around 10 minutes. The Monsal Trail is one of the most spectacular traffic free routes in the UK for cycling, walking and horse riding, and can be joined in Bakewell. The Spa town of Buxton can be reached in around 20 minutes, as can the delightful towns of Matlock and Matlock Bath with their host of attractions including show caves, a cable car to the Heights of Abraham and Gulliver’s Kingdom. Alton Towers can be reached in around 45 minutes and the major cities of Sheffield and Derby are around an hour away.

Directions from Major Airport to Resort

From Bakewell centre follow A6 north out of town along Buxton Road. From the roundabout you will pass Phillip Roose auctioneers and a bus stop on your left hand side and then Bakewell Travel on your right. Directly after Bakewell Travel is a church, and the apartment is opposite this accessed through the archway with the 'Bloomers Original Bakewell Pudding' sign above it on the left and side. If coming down the A6 from Buxton, you will see the entrance to the fire station (yellow hatched area) on the next left, carry on further down passing a no entry road on the right. Shortly after Melbourne House B&B on the left you will see a church, and the apartment is opposite this accessed through the archway with the 'Bloomers Original Bakewell Pudding' sign above it on the left and side.
