Hamstreet is known as "The Gateway to the Marsh's" an area once awash with smuggling. Visit the Dungeness National Nature Reserve and RSPB Reserve, The Romney Marsh including Dungeness, is one of the most important wildlife sites in the world and is a crossroads for migrating birds. Three long distance footpaths pass through Hamstreet and you can follow the banks of the Military Canal or stroll through Hamstreet Woods. Both walking and cycling are very popular in the area, for sandy beaches, head to Dymchurch or Camber Sands, enjoy afternoon tea in Tenterden 'The Jewel of the Weald', or the medieval town of Rye with its cobbled streets. For a touch of retail therapy visit McArthur Glen at Ashford and don't forget your passport, in case you want to hop on a train and have lunch in Paris via the Eurostar. Beach 9 1/2 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

Directions from Major Airport to Resort

Exit the M20 at junction 10 and follow the signs to Ashford A2070. Bear left onto the slip road continuing on the A2070 following the signs to Ham Street. Turn right again following the sign to Ham Street and at the junction turn left onto Ashford Road. Pass the station and then over the crossroads - the playing fields will be on your right then take the next left into Cock Lane. Turn into the first drive on the right hand side. This is Bryn Taff.
