There are 22 miles of coastline, cliffs, coves, beaches and walks, with opportunities for surfing, swimming, diving, sailing, and angling and to study the natural wildlife at leisure. Stunning views are to be seen just about everywhere across the bay, or take a trip inland towards the tors of Dartmoor, stopping at one of the villages for a famous Devon cream tea. Torquay is an ideal base from which to visit Dartmouth, Totnes, Exeter and Plymouth. Its town centre and Living Coasts (a sea zoo) are about 5 minutes away. Oddicombe Beach and the shopping area of St Marychurch are also nearby. Beach 1 3/4 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 100 yards.

Directions from Major Airport to Resort

Follow the M5 to A38 south of Exeter. As the road climbs follow signs for A380 Torquay. Continue on A380 for 3 miles then fork left on the B3192 to Teignmouth. Follow to outskirts of Teignmouth continuing downhill to traffic lights. Turn right following A379 Torquay. Follow this road for a short distance passing Tesco's then fork left again at traffic lights following A379 Torquay. Cross the River Teign bridge and follow the road uphill out of Shaldon. In about 1 mile after sharp bends look out for a car park/viewpoint sign on your left hand side. Pass this and shortly after turn right signposted Stokeinteignhead as you get to end of this lane you will see Church House Inn Pub, turn left and jasmine Cottage is a few houses on your left, hand side. Parking for 1 car is inside the gate.
