Just a couple of minutes' drive is Freshwater, which features shops, a library, an indoor swimming pool & friendly pubs. The multi-coloured cliffs of Alum Bay are about a 5min drive, & 10 min is the historic sailing town of Yarmouth, fittingly named due to its position at the mouth of the River Yar. One of the most popular attractions on the island is The Needles Park, which features a chairlift, boat rides, coloured sands, a lighthouse, amusements & glass-blowing demonstrations. Other attractions include the UK's oldest amusement park Blackgang Chine, Ventnor Botanical Gardens, Calbourne Water Mill, various NT homes & gardens, vineyards, museums, The Isle of Wight Zoo, Isle of Wight Pearl, Carisbrooke Castle & Osbourne House. Outdoor pursuits include golf, cycling, riding, sailing, fishing & diving. Beach 800yds. Shop on site, pub & restaurant 1 mile.

Directions from Major Airport to Resort

Take the ferry using Wightlink or Red Funnel Ferries (to book, tel:0870 582 7744 or 0870 444 8889) From Yarmouth: Proceed right out of ferry terminal on to A3054 to Freshwater. Follow signs to Freshwater, and before you get to the first roundabout, just past the two green bus stops with shelters, you will Monks Way signed on the right. Proceed along the unmade track, then as you reach the site, veer left, then right and follow the numbers along until you come to number 99 on the right From Cowes or any other ferry terminal, proceed along the A3054 south to Yarmouth, then follow directions above.
