Ratling Barn is a charming, spacious, thatched cottage situated in a quiet village in Kent. Retaining original features and stunning cart gate windows, this property is perfect for any family or group looking for a countryside holiday. It has a large garden with pond and a large terrace, seating for summer evenings and plenty of space for your four-legged friend. Comfortably sleeping 8, Ratling Barn boasts desirable rooms, large kitchen and generous living areas. In the late 1980s the thatched barn was within the grounds of Ratling Court, a Grade I listed building which later fell into disrepair, and the local planning authorities listed Ratling Barn Grade II because of its historical interest. As a result, it was sensitively converted into two dwellings for residential use, using traditional materials and retaining many of the original features, including a framework of oak timbers and the fully thatched roof, which is among the largest in the UK
