Dating back to 1840 the semi-detached cottage was once used as the office for quarry workers wanting to take the steam train home and is still full of fabulous original features which are a nod to the glorious past of the property. On the ground floor guests will find a comfortable and cosy living room with wood burner and leather sofas. The kitchen/dining room is spacious and well finished with modern appliances and an original Victorian range that serves as a great, decorative, original feature. Absolutely ideal for families of all ages, extended families, friends, and couples there is ample space for privacy, rest and relaxation. Situated right next to the Weardale Trust Heritage Steam Railway line, Railway Cottage is the perfect destination for guests who enjoy heritage railways.
