It is close to the famous Bodnant Garden (National Trust) which is a riot of colour all year round. You must take the time to visit the Bodnant Welsh Food Centre to stock up on local Welsh delicacies, or just to sample their delicious Welsh Rarebit! It is only a few minutes by car to the historic town of Conwy with its mighty castle and town walls built by Edward I, together with the merchant’s houses of Aberconwy House (National Trust) and Plas Mawr. You can also enjoy boat trips from the quay. The Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno is also nearby – explore the Great Orme by the UK’s only cable operated street tramway. Go underground at the Bronze Age copper mines, or simply stand on the 679ft summit and admire the breathtaking views. In the Conwy Valley, you can catch the action at Surf Snowdonia (the world’s first artificial surfing lagoon), or visit pretty Betws-y-Coed in the Snowdonia National Park. Beach 6 miles. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Directions from Major Airport to Resort

Follow A5 into Wales until just before Betws-y-Coed. Take the road up to the right the A470 for Llanrwst/Llandudno. Follow the A470 through the market town of Llanrwst continue on the road until you see a turning for the village of Eglwysbach. Turn right on this road and follow until you arrive at a give way. Turn right at the give way through the village of Eglwysbach. Follow the road through the village carry on for about 1 mile after the village until you arrive at a crossroads & Hiraethog Cottage is on the left at the crossroads. Take the left turning at the crossroads and the drive is first on the right.
