It is close to the famous Bodnant Garden (National Trust) which is a riot of colour all year round. You must take the time to visit the Bodnant Welsh Food Centre to stock up on local Welsh delicacies, or just to sample their delicious Welsh Rarebit! It is only a few minutes by car to the historic town of Conwy with its mighty castle and town walls built by Edward I, together with the merchant’s houses of Aberconwy House (National Trust) and Plas Mawr. You can also enjoy boat trips from the quay. The Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno is also nearby – explore the Great Orme by the UK’s only cable operated street tramway. Go underground at the Bronze Age copper mines, or simply stand on the 679ft summit and admire the breathtaking views. In the Conwy Valley, you can catch the action at Surf Snowdonia (the world’s first artificial surfing lagoon), or visit pretty Betws-y-Coed in the Snowdonia National Park. Beach 6 miles.
