Directions from Major Airport to Resort

From the west: Leave the M6 at Junction 40 and take the A686 to Alston. After descending from Hartside Pass and just before you reach Alston, there is a war memorial on the left-hand side by the turning signed Brampton A689. Take this road for 200 metres: The Coachman's Cottage is on the bend on the RHS. (If you cross the bridge over the river and end up by the garage, you have gone too far.) From the north: Follow the A689 from Brampton to Alston for approximately 18 miles. The Coachman's Cottage is on the bend on the LHS after passing the sign for Alston town centre. Other parking is roadside by the garden wall.
