Ideal for walkers, bird watchers and cyclists; Cattawade marshes managed by the RSPB is a bird watchers paradise, it is also possible to canoe from Catttawade to Sudbury along the River Stour or there is the 60-mile Stour Valley Path which takes you from Cattawade to Newmaket. Walks galore through woods, open countryside, river and beach along the Stour Valley and Estuary. Enjoy a gentle row from Flatford Mill to Dedham or visit the nearby Roman town of Colchester with its zoo and castle. Within walking distance is Manningtree which has a range of interesting shops and restaurants. There is also a station with direct trains to London in less than an l hour, a little further along is Mistley which has a gastro pub and café/craft shop. An excellent location to explore all the delights of both Essex and Suffolk.

Directions from Major Airport to Resort

At A12 at junction 31 turning left onto B1 070 follow this road all the way to next r oundabout (a few miles), take the 2nd exit then turn right into Cattawade Street. Th e Cottage is on the left as you turn right . Parking is on the road directly opposite the Cottage. ARRIVAL DETAILS Please conta ct the owner Andrea Buckley on 07764 74141 1 a few days prior to your holiday to arra nge key collection and advise estimated ti me of arrival. Visitors are requested not to arrive before 3pm and to leave no later than 10am on day of departure. NB. Towel s are not provided, please bring your own.
