Woodland walks are adjacent to the farm, where a variety of wildlife and wild flowers can be enjoyed, and there is a large area for ball games. Barbecue facilities can also be found within the grounds. Red squirrels can often be spotted on the veranda and decking of the property, which extends all the way around to the rear garden. The quaint village of Wootton lies just 1 mile away with a good selection of pubs, and Newport is only 3 miles away, and offers everything from local boutiques to the larger shops, restaurants, pubs and wine bars. Ryde to the east, 4 miles, offers a variety of eateries, fantastic sandy beaches and ten pin bowling. There are many other places of interest to visit on the island, such as Osborne House, Carisbrooke Castle, Quarr Abbey and Appley Park.
