Benmore is in a truly rural location, ideal for walking & cycling. Perfectly situated in the quiet village of Gunnerside & occupying a position opposite the Ghyll Valley, it is a traditional Yorkshire Dales cottage. A real home-from-home, with many personal touches, it is ideal for guests wanting to immerse themselves in the traditions of this popular Dales village. Traditional & comfortable, it is deceptively spacious on the ground floor. The living room is at the front & offers original beams as well as an electric coal effect fireplace - perfect for those cosy winter evenings. To the rear is the kitchen/dining room with doors leading out into the rear garden area, with fabulous views of the hills & Dales. There is also another living room with double sofa bed & a downstairs bathroom, with a shower over bath. On the first floor are two double bedrooms & a further bathroom. There are great views across the Yorkshire Dales along with a local pub which serves food & a restaurant.

Great for a walking or cycling holiday, there are many established public footpaths, cycle paths & bridleways that lead straight from the doorstep & out into the heart of beautiful Swaledale, Wensleydale & Arkengarthdale. They lead through some of the popular villages & towns nearby, there are many local pubs, restaurants & country inns. The market town of Reeth is only 6 miles away & has a weekly farmer’s market, it has always been a popular place with visitors to the Dales, & has many tea rooms to relax in. There are also some super walks which stretch all over the area, varying in length from gentle strolls along the Swale paths, to day long routes, to the summits of Great Shunner Fell, Lovely Seat & Addlebrough. A little further afield but still within easy driving distance are many popular attractions to visit, including Castle Bolton, Swaledale Folk Museum, Theakstons Brewery, Wensleydale Creamery & The Forbidden Corner. Shop 6 miles, pub & restaurant 100 yards.

Directions from Major Airport to Resort

Following the B6270 from Reeth towards Gunnerside, pass the Kings head pub and go over the bridge into Muker. Come to a narrow road and carry on along this for a few hundred yards looking for the Methodist Chapel and village green. Follow the ghyll on your left and Benmore is located just before the Methodist Chapel on your right hand side. There is a small black, metal gate at the front.
