Destination Highlights

Aitutaki means a long sea voyage in an ocean-going Polynesian vaka or abroad a flying boat which was the only means to get to the island. Nowadays it is a 45 minute flight from Rarotonga. Known to have one of the most spectacular lagoons in the world it offers a truly wonderful experience for snorkeler’s. It has some of the most bio diverse reef systems in the world. There are lots of other interesting attractions to explore including the oldest Cook Island Church, Ngaa’s archaeological site of an ancient village, One Foot Island – touted as one of the most beautiful places in the Pacific and Maunga Pu which is the highest point in Aitutaki with 360 degree views of the island and lagoon.

Directions from Major Airport to Resort

Fly into Rarotonga International Airport. Air Rarotonga flies daily to Aitutaki which is a 45 minute flight time. From Aitutaki Airport head southeast for 1.9 km. Take a slight left. Take a short 2 minute boat ride by a small private ferry to the Island.
