Warrnambool and Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village
Another fun day trip from Apollo bay is a visit to Warrnambool, just over two hours away by car. Here you can visit Flagstaff Hill, which is an ideal place for uncovering the history of the shipwreck coast and the Great Ocean Road. by day, Flagstaff Hill recounts some of the tragic history of the 180 or more ships which have lost the battle with the Shipwreck coastline. by night, experience ‘Shipwrecked’, a theatrical multi-media extravaganza, bringing to life the unfortunate end of the Loch Ard.
