A trip to town is a must and first-time visitors to the area should kick off their trip with a stroll along the Chaffey Trail – a self-guided walk that takes in all the highlights of the town including the Old Mildura Homestead, built in 1847, and the original Rio Vista house, built in 1890 and recently restored to its former glory. After exploring the town head to Mildura Brewery, one of the town’s most famous landmarks and a perfect place to sample the award-winning beers over lunch. Producing its own speciality brews, it’s based inside what was once the Astor Theatre.
