What is the Paleo diet?
Put simply, the Paleo or ‘caveman’ diet
is based on the premise that most of the food available for consumption today is overly processed, making it impossible for our bodies to digest it. This then leads to a host of health problems. To counteract the negative effects of processed foods, advocates of the diet recommend eating unprocessed food, similar to what would have been eaten by our Paleolithic ancestors. In other words, follow the hunter-gatherer diet of a caveman.
