RCI VACATION STORIES
And the winner is... Eve koh won an iPad.
Our very first accommodation booked through RCI was on the Gold Coast and we loved it.
Ideally located at the center of the Gold Coast in Surfers Paradise,
we stayed at Wyndham Surfers Paradise Resort which is only a five minute walk from the beach. The Sky Point, located just opposite, is also in walking distance too. Just beside the resort there was a good Chinese restaurant as well as a grocery shop and a café to indulge in my favorite ice cream. I would also highly recommend a meal at the Alfresco Italian Restaurant.
Our one bedroom self-contained apartment came with a spacious balcony was big enough for four persons with a queen bed in one
room and fold out sofa bed for two in the living area. We were easily able to prepare our own breakfast and dinners at the resort.
During our stay we visited many attractions including taking a trip on the Tweed Endeavour Cruise. We were able to catch yabbies as well as crabs and fish. Our lunch was served with the fresh seafood cooked on board.
While on the Gold Coast we saw koalas and kangaroos and many other animals at the Currumbin Wildlife Park while my two sons also enjoyed themselves on the giant flying fox.
We visited Brisbane for a day trip and on another day drove to Byron
Bay for the Sunday markets. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch at the Fish Heads Restaurant which is famous for its fish and chips. We also visited Byron Bay Beach and the world famous lighthouse.
After arriving back in Surfers we went up the Sky Point tower which offered spectacular views of Gold Coast. Further days were spent at Sea World, Movie World and Dream World which were heaps of fun.
Such an amazing trip and more importantly the resort was excellent.
