As the capital of Malaysia with 7 million people, Kuala Lumpur is a cultural melting pot and home to many 5 star hotels, great shopping malls and fantastic restaurants and bars.
Like most New Year’s celebrations, Kuala Lumpur will celebrate with a fireworks display over KLCC Park and the Petronas Towers. Popular shopping areas for New Year include Sunway Pyramid, Damansara Mutiara, Bukit Bintang, and Dataran Merdeka. Most
of the hotels in Kuala Lumpur also organize exclusive NYE celebrations with live music and countdown parties.
In Hong Kong, the NYE fireworks display light up over Victoria Harbor, in between Central and Tsim Sha Tsui. The must see night parade travels along the streets of Tsim Sha Tsui and features colorful, illuminated floats with the whole area becoming one huge party for locals and visitors. The best vantage points are along Haiphong Road, Canton Road outside Harbour City, or at the junction of Nathan and Peking Roads.
Situated on River Han, the magnificent city of Seoul will feature an incredible fireworks show for the 2015 NYE celebrations. Many locals like to go the islands of Khoje-do or Ganghwa-do to witness
the breathtaking beauty of the sunset and then spend the entire night on these islands to see in the first sunrise. They then have breakfast of Ttoekkuk (rice cake noodles) believing that this tradition will bring them good luck in the New Year.
Seoul’s Times Square will be also be showcasing its own 2015 NYE celebrations with a large range of entertainment venues and restaurants. The massive performance center and the world’s biggest movie screen make Seoul the ideal place to mingle in the open air with excited New Year’s revelers.
What would NYE be without an impressive fireworks show when midnight hits? Well Taipei 101 New Year’s Fireworks display is considered to be one of the best around the world.
Taipei 101 formerly known as the Taipei World Financial Center, is a landmark skyscraper and large crowds are expected to gather by Taipei 101 and the shopping centers in the Xinyi District.
With each number of the final countdown, one of the layers of Taipei 101 building lights up with fireworks shooting out from the top of each layer in different directions creating a spectacular visual effect not to be missed.
Apart from Taipei 101, Taipei offers many musical concerts where you’ll be able to dance to the rhythm of the popular bands and have that special night to remember.
