Okinawa Islands

Getting around
Operated by national rail provider JR Rail, the Kyushu Rail Pass is a reliable and highly effective way to travel around Kyushu. It allows foreign visitors to board limited express trains and Shinkansen (excluding Sanyo Shinkansen) for a five-day period for $193 or ¥17,490. Alternatively, travel company Inside Japan offers an excellent 13-day Kyushu Elements tour that spans the island’s sights and natural landmarks, and covers transfers, rail pass, breakfast and accommodation, from approximately $5273.
