Favourite Resort & Why?
Glacier Wilderness Resort, USA (0575) “The location and surrounding scenery
is spectacular, perfect for lovers of nature.”
Vegas Strip
We then headed south along the Oregon US coastline to beautiful Lake Tahoe - where California and Nevada meet. Our daughter made this part of our stay extra special joining us from London for three weeks where we spent our days trekking, bike riding and enjoying the snow.We also took the ferry across Lake Tahoe one evening to see the Beach Boys perform at one of the casinos there!
San Francisco is a sightseer’s paradise, throughout our week we visited Alcatraz and Sausalito, walked through Golden Gate Park, ate out in Chinatown and sampled chocolate at historic Ghirardelli Square. Our next big stop was Las Vegas and Sin City didn’t disappoint! We spent the week visiting Casinos, watching various stage shows and dining at the numerous all you can eat buffets.
Salt Lake City
We then proceeded to Sedona, Arizona relaxing and taking in the countryside and the breathtaking scenery – walking through the beautiful nearby canyons is a must.
Making our way back up through the middle of The US we saw the majestic Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon,Yellowstone National Park and Salt Lake City.We stayed a week at Glacier Wilderness Resort (0575); this resort was a stand-out and it was our favourite location! The national park was a natural wonderland; we went white water rafting and even got to see local wildlife.
Back in Canada, staying on Vancouver Island we took a day trip to Port Alberni via ferry which followed the old mail
route and visited vibrant Buchart Gardens (fifty-five acres of floral show gardens).
Leaving our wheels behind we took the Alaskan Highway ferry to Skagway, from there we explored the beautiful Alaskan glaciers then flew down into warm Mexico for a bit of a rest and a few pina coladas.
Two weeks later we were back in Canada exploring the sights, the Great Lakes, Toronto, and Niagara Falls. Two weeks in
Mexico
Quebec staying at Club Vancances Toutes Saisons (2621) was lovely, we spent our days horse riding and whale watching and used the resort as our base to visit Isle d’Orleans and the famous 1000 islands region.

Anne of Green Gables
Discovering Prince Edward Island made famous by Anne of Green Gables is a must see and dining on freshly caught lobster
in New Brunswick I’ll always remember fondly. Shortly after we flew to the UK and spent some time visiting family, then it
was back home having completed our best holiday to date.
Staying in timeshare resorts was a great experience, being able to utilise Bonus Weeks meant we saved on accommodation and could holiday for longer without breaking the bank.”
