Although there’s not much by way of shopping in Tioman, many duty- free shops have sprung up around the islands, offering goods like chocolate and liquor. Make sure you have spare space in your luggage to stock up on everything from clothing to kitchen utensils at considerably low prices.

visit Tioman between March and October when it’s sunny and perfect for beachside lounging. Several resorts and ferry services do not operate during the monsoon season due to the heavy rains.
Tioman is most commonly accessed by ferry from the mainland of Mersing. Although it has its own airport, it is only frequented by one airline, flying from Singapore or Kuala Lumpur. Travelling within Tioman is often done either by jeep, or on foot. While you’re there, you can hire a speedboat for some island-hopping.
