Exchange Protection (“EPRO”) allows you to amend or cancel your RCI Exchange booking up to 14 calendar days before your check-in date and receive a full credit to your RCI Account of your Exchange Trading Power/Points and prevailing RCI Exchange Fees, subject to the terms and conditions set out below.

Terms & Conditions

If you purchase Exchange Protection (EPRO) for a Confirmed Exchange, the following cancellation policy applies to the Confirmed Exchange:

a.       If you cancel at least 14 days before the check-in date of the Confirmed Exchange,

                                 i.            the full Exchange Fee for that Confirmed Exchange will be credited back to your RCI account; and

                               ii.            you will get your Trading Power or RCI Points used for the booking of the Confirmed Exchange back, provided that the Trading Power or RCI Points have not expired as at the date of cancellation of the Confirmed Exchange.

b.       However, if you cancel less than 14 days before the check-in date of the Confirmed Exchange,

                                 i.            the Exchange Fee for that Confirmed Exchange will not be refunded to you; but

                               ii.            if you cancel at least two (2) working days before the check-in date of the Confirmed Exchange, you may get your Trading Power or RCI Points used for the booking of the Confirmed Exchange back, provided that the Trading Power or RCI Points have not expired as at the date of cancellation of the Confirmed Exchange.

Exchange Protection Fees (“EPRO Fee”): For RCI Weeks and credits, one EPRO Fee is payable for each exchange interval. For Points, EPRO Fees are payable based on the duration of your holiday (1-6 nights, 7 nights, or 8 or more nights). Purchase Window: Exchange Protection may only be purchased at the same time you confirm your exchange booking with us and only if the Confirmed Exchange has a check-in date at least 14 calendar days after the date of booking of the Confirmed Exchange.

Cancellation of Exchange Protection: You may cancel your Exchange Protection up to the close of business the following working day after the day of purchase of EPRO (“Cancellation Window”). In such event, you will receive a refund of the EPRO Fee you paid for your protection to the original payment method. No Refund, Credit, or Transfer: After the Cancellation Window, the EPRO Fee is non-refundable, for money or for money’s worth. The EPRO Fee is non-exchangeable for credit, and Exchange Protection may not be applied towards another exchange booking.

Notifying RCI of Booking Cancellation/Changes:
If you wish to modify or cancel your exchange holiday, you must notify us no later than 5.00 PM (GMT+8), at least 14 calendar days prior to your check-in date.

Credit to RCI Account: Exchange Protection entitles you to receive a credit back onto your RCI member account of the full Exchange Trading Power or Points used to make the exchange booking AND the prevailing RCI Exchange Fee you paid at the time of booking (“Restored Credit”).

Validity of Restored Credit: Restored Credits cannot be refunded in cash. No other fees or charges will be refunded including, without limitation, Additional Fees, RCI membership fees or any travel and/or transport costs associated with your booking.
You have 6 months from the date of cancellation of the original exchange booking to use any Restored Credit on your account.

Validity of Returned Exchange Trading Power or Points: Rebooked exchange holidays must be within the original validity window of either your Deposit Trading Power or Points used for your original exchange booking. You must be a RCI member at the time you travel on any rebooked exchange holiday.

Exclusions: Please note that hotel, rental car, resort rental, cruise, and tours cancellation policies are based on the individual providers of these services and Extra Holidays / Extra Vacation, Bonus Holidays / Vacation Getaways and Rentals are excluded from this Exchange Protection option. Exchange Protection covers single and multi-week exchanges only offered by or through RCI.

Standard Booking Available: For the avoidance of doubt, RCI Members are still eligible to make standard exchange bookings without the purchase of EPRO. In such a case, the prevailing standard RCI cancellation policy will apply to any modification or cancellation to the new reservation. The benefits of EPRO would not be available.

Not Insurance Product: Exchange Protection provides you with the right to modify your booking. Exchange Protection is not a travel insurance product and RCI strongly recommends that you have adequate travel insurance for your exchange holiday.

Other Terms and Conditions: Save where specifically varied by the terms of this product, your terms of membership with RCI (including, where applicable, but not limited to the rules of the Terms and Conditions of RCI Weeks Subscribing Membership, Terms and Conditions of RCI Points Subscribing Membership, RCI’s standard cancellation policy, and/or the equivalent of such Terms and Conditions) continue to apply. Unless otherwise stated herein, capitalized terms used in these EPRO Terms and Conditions shall bear the same meanings as those defined in the Terms and Conditions of RCI Weeks Subscribing Membership or Terms and Conditions of RCI Points Subscribing Membership, as the case may be.

RCI Right to Amend: RCI reserves the right to alter or amend these terms or to withdraw the Exchange Protection product at any time.
